Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is a mother of Russian origin who was born in Afghanistan. Mahendru is fluent in German Russian English, French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru has a Russian-Indian father. In her early teens she choreographed and performed a dance which led to a German TV appearance. The dance included a snow maiden from Russia who was transformed into an exciting Indian dancer. When she graduated from high school and college in New York, she received her bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. John's University. Then in NYC, she was studying acting at the HB studio. In the following years, she moved to the Groundlings School and took up various initiatives. She was raised within Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru and Russian-speaking mom Olga. In her teens, her parents divorced and she moved from Kabul, Afghanistan to East Meadow New York. Keri Russell as well as Matthew Rhys star in FX's The Americans.
